Our Small Group plans and rates have been approved by the Washington state Office of the Insurance Commissioner. As we close out 2022, be sure to remember due dates for submitting Kaiser Permanente Small Group renewal and new sales documents.
Renewals
All renewal documents are due by the 10th of the month prior to the effective date month. This year, we’ll begin automatically renewing groups as early as 45 to 60 days prior to the effective date if we haven’t yet received a renewal decision. Renewing groups will still have until the 10th of the month to submit plan changes to us, even if we’ve already automatically renewed the coverage.
New groups
New group sales documents are due by the 20th of the month prior to the effective date month. For example, if a new group’s effective date is in March, the documents must be received by February 20.
Also important
Keep the lines of communication open with your Kaiser Permanente account managers and sales executives to ensure a smoother renewal and new sales process. Please follow the checklist on the Small Group Master Application and include all required documents and forms, fully completed and legible.
