Individual and family plan binder payments are due by the end of December so that coverage is active on January 1, 2022. This applies to new members and to existing members who have made plan changes. Coverage will not be active until payment is received.
During open enrollment, members who purchase plans through Washington Healthplanfinder can make their binder payments on the site immediately after applying by using the Pay Now button. There’s no need to wait for an invoice.
New and renewing members you’ve helped buy directly from Kaiser Permanente will be mailed a premium invoice in December. Any plan changes made after January invoices are sent will not generate new invoices. Instead, the adjusted premiums will be reflected on the February invoices. These clients can submit their premium payments based on the current plans they’ve chosen. Payment is due at the end of December and can be made online or by calling Member Services at 1‑800‑290‑8900 (TTY 711).
