Our mutual clients and members who buy a Kaiser Permanente health plan on the Washington Healthplanfinder must make their binder payment before the end of December so that their coverage is active on January 1, 2021. This applies to new members and to existing members who have made a plan change. Coverage will not be active until this payment has been made.
During open enrollment, members who purchase a plan on Washington Healthplanfinder can pay their binder payment on the site immediately after applying by using the Pay Now button. There’s no need to wait for an invoice from Kaiser Permanente.
New and renewing members you’ve helped buy directly from Kaiser Permanente will be mailed a premium invoice in December. Any plan changes made after the January invoice has been sent will not generate a new invoice. Instead, the adjusted premiums will be reflected on the February invoice.
Mutual clients can submit the premium payment based on the most current plan they have chosen. Payment is due at the end of December. Members can pay online or by calling Member Services at 1-800-290-8900 (TTY 711).
