Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage health plan in the Washington Region has earned a rating of 4.5 out of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for 2023. This follows a rating of 5 Stars for 2022. Washington Region plans have consistently been highly rated for 14 years (2010-2023). Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-Star rating system. This Star Rating applies to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington.
Please remember: This means the 5‑Star special enrollment period (SEP) can only be used through November 30, 2022, for 2022 plan year enrollments. After this date, applicants will not be able to use the 5‑Star SEP and will need to use the annual election period, open enrollment period, or qualifying event to enroll or change plans for 2023 plan year effective dates.
Important: If you ordered 2023 Medicare Advantage sales kits prior to October 25, 2022, your kits include the 2022 Star Rating flyer. Now that the 2023 ratings have been announced, the 2022 Star Rating flyer must be removed and replaced with the new 2023 Star Rating flyer in any packets you distribute or mail out after October 27, 2022. You will be mailed replacement flyers by October 27, so please be on the lookout for them because The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires star rating flyers to be updated within 21 days of the new rating release.
