Reminder: Complete your Medicare training by September 30 and watch for ANOC updates

The Kaiser Permanente Washington Medicare training and certification period ends on September 30, 2022. Agents must complete the training and achieve "Ready to Sell" status for the 2023 Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington program by that date to represent our 2023 Medicare health plans. This will also qualify agents to continue receiving Medicare commissions after December 31, 2022.

After September 30, only newly appointed producers with existing agencies or newly appointed independent agents with existing Medicare business will have the opportunity to certify for 2023. Newly appointed agents who have completed our 2023 External Certification program can begin selling 2022 Medicare Advantage plans as soon as they’ve received confirmation of their ready to sell status.

Keep in mind: Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage plans have a 5-Star rating for the 2022 plan year, allowing you to enroll Medicare Advantage eligible clients for 2022 effective dates through November 30, 2022. See our previous 5‑Star article for more details.

Also, please be on the lookout for additional communication later this month about the member Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) mailing. On October 1, you'll be able to access all updated sales resources on the Kaiser Permanente Producer Medicare page.

If you have questions, please contact our Medicare Sales Producer Support team at 1‑800‑581‑8252 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or kpwa.medicare@kp.org.
