The 2024 Annual CMS Medicare Sales Training program is scheduled to release on August 15, 2023. Learn more. On or shortly after this date, agents and brokers certified to sell Kaiser Permanente Washington (KPWA) 2023 Medicare Advantage plans will receive an email notification with training program instructions and a registration PIN.
This year, KPWA external agents and brokers may notice a few changes to the training program.
- Due to program alignment with other Kaiser Permanente markets and the limited number of brokers opting to take the Convey Core Medicare training, this training module will not be available in the 2024 program. As in prior years, agents will continue to access the Kaiser Permanente training program through the Convey Health Solutions’ Miramar:Agent training platform. In Miramar:Agent, once the agent is registered for the program with the provided registration PIN, they will be prompted to upload their 2024 Medicare core training certificate. Allowable 2024 certificates include AHIP, PinPoint, or NABIP.
- Due to the expansion of Kaiser Permanente Medicare broker programs and many brokers selling in more than one Kaiser Permanente market, the 2024 Kaiser Permanente product and benefit training covers ALL Kaiser Permanente markets and Kaiser Permanente Medicare products. This will allow for the completion of one program to apply to all markets an agent is authorized to sell for. Agents will have access to all markets benefit guides and be prompted to review and save them prior to completing the benefit training and exam.
Be aware there are different registration PINs, depending on the agent’s affiliated agency and which Kaiser Permanente market they are selling for. If a KPWA agent is also affiliated with a field marketing organization (FMO) that is appointed to sell Medicare Advantage in another Kaiser Permanente market (for example, Kaiser Permanente Northwest), they will be provided a Kaiser Permanente registration PIN by their FMO. The benefit training is the same for all regions, so KPWA will use the completion status and dates for those other groups or programs to calculate ready-to-sell status.
